On Wednesday 3rd July, our new Year 7 cohort took part in a thrilling Induction Day at Ackers Adventure in Birmingham, where they benefited from a tailored programme of activities designed to introduce them to the hallmarks of the Academy’s leadership specialism. Pupils had the opportunity to meet their new classmates, discover new interests, and support their peers as they took part in a range of outdoor education activities designed to form fast and enduring friendships.

Pupils developed resilience, learnt to work effectively as part of a team and used their problem-solving skills as they battled the Jungle Challenge and tried their hands at canoeing, dry slope skiing, climbing and archery. The Induction Day was carefully planned to develop pupils’ confidence as they made the transition from primary school to secondary school and offered an exciting and engaging introduction to Academy life.
